The Precision Technologies CIC uses state-of-the-art CMM facilities contained within temperature controlled rooms.
Zeiss PRISMO Access CMM
Large volume, high accuracy using Zeiss software suite:
- Calypso – standard measurement package.
- Holos – with CAD interface and surface mapping capability.
- Holos Digitise – Digitisation of real parts.
- Dimension Volume – Direct volume/wear calculation

Eley Metrology Toccata CMM
Small volume, medium high accuracy. Scheduled for upgrade to Zeiss software.

Applications
The equipment can be used for verification of conformance to dimensional specification both in process and post processing. Additionally it can be used for reverse engineering of parts by measurement followed by storing of the dimensions in a CAD file which can then be used for machining of the part.
