Applications of the Renishaw ML10 Laser To measure the positioning accuracy to a resolution of 1 μm of any linear axis, horizontal, vertical or sloping up to 40 metres in length To correct the positioning accuracy by means of software (where the facility is present in the CNC) of any linear axis, horizontal, vertical or sloping up to 40 metres in length To measure the straightness to a resolution of 1 μm of any linear axis, horizontal, vertical or sloping up to 40 metres in length To measure the angular displacement (pitch & yaw) to a resolution of 0.01 arc seconds of any linear axis, horizontal, vertical or sloping up to 40 metres in length – Maximum angle +/- 10 degrees To monitor the velocity of any linear axis, horizontal, vertical or sloping up to 40 metres in length To measure the positioning accuracy of any rotary axis thro’ 360 degrees (when used with rotary axis calibrator accessory) To analyse and present the gathered data in many formats to meet national and international standards Applications of the Renishaw Ballbar The Renishaw Ballbar is the benchmark test for virtually all CNC machine tools because it gives immediate certification of accuracy and / or diagnosis of potential problems.
